OE Activities

Many Ocean Explorers teams developed GIS-based activities to teach science, math, and technology concepts they were currently teaching but in other ways. Each activity includes a GIS project and required data sets, teaching notes, including the standards addressed and answers to assigned questions, and a set of student directions and data sheet. Activities have been edited for format and clarity but remain the work of each team. Activities may be written for ArcView 3.X, ArcGIS 9.0, MyWorld, or ArcExplorer Java Edition for Education (AEJEE) software, depending upon the preferences of each team. Learn more about a specific activity, download a copy of the activity and data sets, or download a copy of just the activity (without data sets) in portable document format, PDF format, by clicking on its title below.
